Sautéed Mushrooms

Recipe from Harmony Cellars

Ingredients:

½ lb. mushrooms, cleaned and sliced thick (3/8 in. )
1 T. olive oil or butter
4 garlic cloves minced
1 shallot chopped fine
1 T. rosemary (fresh) chopped
3 oz. Harmony Cellars Merlot
2 T. goat cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Heat skillet on high until hot, then coat with oil. Add garlic, shallots, and sauté for one minute.
  2. Add mushrooms, rosemary, fresh ground pepper, and sauté one to two minutes.
  3. Add wine, and continue to cook on low heat until wine has reduced by half.
  4. Add the goat cheese, and stir to produce a creamy sauce.
  5. Serve the mushrooms on toast squares as an appetizer, or use atop steak to add to an entrée.

Great with Harmony Cellars Merlot
