Sautéed Mushrooms
Recipe from Harmony Cellars
Ingredients:
½ lb. mushrooms, cleaned and sliced thick (3/8 in. )
1 T. olive oil or butter
4 garlic cloves minced
1 shallot chopped fine
1 T. rosemary (fresh) chopped
3 oz. Harmony Cellars Merlot
2 T. goat cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Heat skillet on high until hot, then coat with oil. Add garlic, shallots, and sauté for one minute.
- Add mushrooms, rosemary, fresh ground pepper, and sauté one to two minutes.
- Add wine, and continue to cook on low heat until wine has reduced by half.
- Add the goat cheese, and stir to produce a creamy sauce.
- Serve the mushrooms on toast squares as an appetizer, or use atop steak to add to an entrée.
