Berry and Port Compote
Recipe from Harmony Cellars
Ingredients:
½ bottle Harmony Cellars Port
4 tbsp. brown sugar
dash nutmeg
dash cinnamon
1 ½ cup berries
(strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc..)
Directions:
- Add ½ bottle (375ml) of port to small pan.
- Simmer, do not boil, until port is reduced by half.
- Add brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon.
- Let liquid mixture cool, and add berries.
- Let compote sit for at least one hour before serving.
