Berry and Port Compote

Recipe from Harmony Cellars

Ingredients:

½ bottle Harmony Cellars Port
4 tbsp. brown sugar
dash nutmeg
dash cinnamon
1 ½ cup berries
(strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc..)

Directions:

  1. Add ½ bottle (375ml) of port to small pan.
  2. Simmer, do not boil, until port is reduced by half.
  3. Add brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon.
  4. Let liquid mixture cool, and add berries.
  5. Let compote sit for at least one hour before serving.
